And you were probably about to do something in the bathroom when you thought about it. It's okay; this happens to all of us.
We're very excited to make your wildest dreams come true as best we can. Thought of a player plot and want to make a big deal of it? Perhaps you have an event idea, small or large or...large. Really, really large, that just needs to be shared with the world. Fill out the below form and you'll be one step closer to having that ultimate rp experience realized; but first, please read the following carefully.
When writing an event, it's important to give opportunities to players so their actions and decisions have an impact on the outcome, as opposed to being reduced to spectators. Encourage your fellow players to engage by making their characters actions relevant and impactful! Pleasing everyone may be impossible, but offering an event that entertains as many people as possible will increase its likelihood of being implemented.
When writing up your idea, keep the following questions in mind:
I) IS IT INCLUSIVE?
Objectively speaking, do the central conflict/experiences/features of the event include as many of the players as possible? And if it can't, do you have an alternative option to entertain those left out?
II) IS IT ACCESSIBLE?
Can just about anyone participate in this event without jumping through hoops? Alternatively, is there an easy out in case players aren't into it?
III) IS IT APPROPRIATE?
Does this event fit into the overall theme/situation of LifeAftr?
Your event suggestion may be taking a while because other events (either generated to move the game's overall plot or those suggested by other players) may have been scheduled to occur prior to your suggestion. If your event is time-sensitive, such as a desire to have the event occur during a specific season or at the group's current location, make sure to notify mods when you submit your suggested event.
We're sorry! When an event suggestion is rejected, we try to give specific information about why it could not be used. Aside from not meeting the above points, rejection of a player plot or event may be due to similarity to another previously-submitted event, or it may run contrary to certain established factors of the plot that have yet to be revealed to the players.
