Whilst we understand that in Soulgemmed, there were never stipulations placed that their world would not continue without them, this then adds the complication of how Laurent's world would have progressed in his absence. Multiple details may have changed due to this, meaning that a canon update through an item such as a news poster or letter could be entirely inaccurate to how his canon is supposed to go!
Further to this, Laurent may only ask for items from his canon that he has knowledge of. Whilst requests for survival or gimmicky items is certainly allowed to be vague, requested canon items should be something that the character has some awareness of- and in the case of documents, be aware enough to stipulate what is generally contained in those documents.
In future, there may be events in which requests can be made for information from Laurent's future- in the meantime, he will be constrained to his current IC knowledge.
