1. Checking the more detailed locations page will indicate that certain regions bear plenty of coconut trees. The fibers from the shell's husk can be used for a great deal of fabrics, and is both tough and versatile! Additionally, creatures such as centipuppies and tigersharks can be killed and skinned; their pelts make for sturdy and reliable fabric, and in the tigershark's case, waterproof.
2. Squares that have already been explored thoroughly (any square with a symbol on it!) can not be explored any more than they already have. Whatever resources or predators found in that area are the predominant aspect of that square; though of course one can always encounter the odd creature or resource there! Just not in abundance. If squares have not been explored thoroughly, there is always a chance that something new might turn up!
3. The potential to find cloth and threads is in the pool of materials that characters might uncover, yes! But we're all at the mercy of RNG on that one.
4. Materials for dyes might require more experimentation on Tataru's part! We recommend that she collaborate with another character that might have some bartered knowledge of what plants might be safe for experimentation. Bear in mind that she will probably need materials to make dyes from scratch - mordants such as salts and vinegars, some sort of bucket or vat to keep the dyes heated for weeks at a time, fuel to stoke the fires to heat that vat, a lot of fresh water, and some means of drying the dyed fabrics once they're done!
In the current pool of resources, Tataru might have luck experimenting with onions, as well as certain mushrooms that can be found on certain squares of the map. She might also have some luck with the lichens that grow in the caves on the island's edge.
