What appears to be nothing more than a particularly planet-hued marble is anything but. The accompanying parchment that you find with it describes its function quite adequately. In short, all you have to do is add water.

Which is to say, drop this beautiful little marble anywhere there's water, and it will grow into a lump of rich, fertile land, no matter where you've deposited it. It only works once, however, and its radius is somewhat limited. It will expand until it is about ten square feet in circumference. At that point, short of digging the entire thing up, your new piece of land is here to stay. Forever!
