[ ♆ ] Comment on our Taken Characters page. [ ♆ ] Once you know where your character is living, let us know on our Housing page. [ ♆ ] For IC information on the setting, please ensure you've read the Storyteller's dream post, which should answer a few questions your character may have prior to arrival. [ ♆ ] There will be a catch-all OOC intro post for you to introduce yourself on, if you wish!
Gladio's smartphone will be water-damaged upon arrival.
In regards to nerfs:
[ ♆ ] Please be advised that all magic and feats of extraordinary strength on LifeAftr come with an exhaustion caveat; the more it is used, the more tired the user will become until they must "recharge" near a mana pool.
[ ♆ ] Use of Noctis's armiger will be limited, as said armiger has a limit of ten items. Summoning items from the armiger will be limited to what Noctis has chosen to store with that restriction in mind. We are happy to allow Gladio to have his sword and shield on his person upon his initial arrival into LifeAftr.
[ ♆ ] Additionally, Gladio's survival skill will allow him the chance to find more than one article of note per searched square when he is participating in a Search Request, though this ability will come with a one month cooldown period.
Gladio will arrive with a knapsack upon which he will find his name embossed with thread. Within, the following items have been supplied:
(1) sack of oats (1) wood saw (1) tarp (1) bar of soap (1) Stone of Farspeech, whose functions are detailed HERE
Due to your participation in the Test Drive Meme, Gladio has been awarded a Slaughtermask! Perfect for that Dark Ages tryhard aesthetic.
Despite the mask's unwieldy shape, it contains a few unique properties that may make it worth keeping around. The instructions written on the mask's interior speak clearly as to its merits:
"For one full day, I will shield your face, and none will know you."
As simple as the disguise is, the mask's claim is perfectly true: for twenty-four hours, once the slaughtermask is donned, it will render your character completely unrecognizable to others. Even when they look back, they will not be able to recall anything noteworthy about interactions with you - not your words, not your voice, not your features, not your clothing, and certainly not the odd, sinister mask you were wearing.
The effect only holds true for twenty-four hours, however. While those hours can be broken up into as many small pieces as you'd like, once they are used up, the mask will simply become an old relic of a bygone age.
