The sixth island to materialize for exploration is a largely benevolent one. Divided equally into four seasons, the hardworking avatar of this island is eager to reward characters for their help in maintaining the various stretches of farmland, orchards, and so on.
Temperatures on the island, unless otherwise specified within search requests, match those experienced on Ensō. This island is not currently accessible for exploration.
Click on each map square to receive details on what has been discovered in the corresponding region. Regions not visible on the map are thus far unexplored.

C1 | δ BERRIES
Searched by Foster van Denend, Guzma, and the Knight in November 2018. The second barn on C1 is not much better, and there's some crooked fencework crumbled at the corner of that region besides. Both are in need of some significant maintenance.
Clustered among the barn on C1 is a not-insignificant number of strawberry bushes, most of which are happily bearing a great deal of ripe fruit. While wild strawberries are on the smaller side, they can still make for a useful ingredient in cooking, as well as flavoring anything from pies to liquors. They can also, of course, be eaten raw.

D1 | Ɏ HERBS
Searched by Foster van Denend, Guzma, and the Knight in November 2018. The northern reaches of Nuidan bear thick swathes of grassy field that gradually and gently slope into the sea the further up one goes. While there are a few straggling lines of orphaned fence-posts and the like tangled up in the overgrowth of grass, that's not liable to be what catches travelers' attention. D1 in particularly hosts a large red barn square in the middle of it. It must have once cut quite an impressive figure, meant to keep all manner of beasts and their feed, but the passage of time and perpetually rainy weather, not to mention a general lack of maintenance, seem to have left it in a rather sorry state. Most of the paint has flaked away over time, making the barn appear more of a rusted burgundy than the bright, highly visible red it once was. There are holes in the roof and gaps in the walls, and the doors have been blown wide open by the wind and rain.
It seems that most of the animals that roam the northern sections of Nuidan have chosen to steer clear of the barn unless the weather leaves them no choice, because the grassy swathe all around it hasn't been very well-grazed at all. Among the thick stalks of grass, scattered here and there, the explorers will find a fair amount of herbs that they might find useful. Take, for instance, the sharp-smelling sprigs of basil, a valued ingredient in cooking, present on D2. Accompanying it are numerous other finds - sprouts of thyme, sage, mint, parsley, and chives.

E1 | Ɏ GRAINS
Searched by Chip Abaroa and Erika Fisher in November 2018. There are obviously grain fields to the west and east of the mill, but there also appears to be something situated to the north, on E1 itself. The spring quadrant of Nuidan terminates at the coast on E1, ocean waves that tickle the bluffs that melt easily into the sweeping, rain-drenched meadows. The skies above are heavy and swollen with raincloud, and might occasionally disperse the odd shower here and there on the adventuring pair - assuming they don't venture close enough to get soaked in the salt and sea spray from the island's northernmost coast, that is.
While there are no animals to be found on E1, it's apparent that there were, at some point, if the rundown fencing and trampled fields are anything to go by. But far more pertinent is the field of barley just north to the mill. While the field in which it is kept is in poor condition, in dire need of some patching and fence repair, to say nothing of the weeds that have choked out several unseemly patches of crop, there's still plenty there in need of some harvest.

B2 | ѱ PREY
Searched by Agent Connecticut and Gladiolus and Amicitia in October 2018. The rain-swept plains of Nuidan's northern region only grow wetter the more one progresses toward the coast. While B3 is intersected by a crooked sprawl of mostly defunct fencing, long since worn to the point of uselessness by time and weather, B2 is an open expanse of pasture that must have once hosted plenty of herds of domesticated animals. The ocean waves hiss up against the grass; paired with the slate-gray of the raincloud-heavy sky, it certainly does feel like a springtime on the coast.
In B2's open, pasture-like area, a herd of cariborn, familiar from their presence on Ensō, have taken to grazing without fear of being kept in by any fencing.

C2 | ѱ PREY
Searched by Chip Abaroa, the Hollow Knight, and the Knight in October 2018. C2 contains a straggling wishbone of forking fencing, much of it degraded over time. The stark black skeletons of what used to be a proud, sprawling containment for the pastures lying to the north now provide little more than a mild break from the surrounding grassland. The weather is, in a word, rainy: a cheerful sluice of spring showers will likely be going on and off all throughout the fifth. The grass, however, is delightfully green in response, and has flourished without any permanent herds to graze off it. It's even waist-deep in some places.
A large flock of bludroc enjoy the seeds and grasses of the region - as providers of edible meat and eggs, bludroc can be invaluable if domesticated.

D2 | Ɏ VEGETABLES
Searched by Damianos, Edward Elric, and Héctor Rivera in November 2018. West of the mill situated on E2, a creaking line of ragged fencework is in dire need of some repair as it stretches on further west. To the south, the trio of silos uncovered earlier throw shadows across the fields of the northern sprawl of Nuidan's upper reaches. But most of D2 is taken up by a square of field - once cultivated and well-kept, and now more than a little overgrown due to time and a general lack of regular care. Héctor is liable to recognize the field for what it is, however.
D2 contains Nuidan's cornfield. Some of the stalks have been choked by weeds and snarled by creepers, and still others have been trampled by passing animals or simply devoured by scavengers, but the vegetation is unmistakable. Yellow-gold ears rustle faintly in the breeze. The entire field could do with some much-needed repair and general maintenance, but most of all, it could do with a decent harvest.

E2 | Ɏ WHEAT
Searched by the Drifter and Newton Geiszler in September 2018. To the southeast corner, the corner of a silo is silhouetted against the greens and browns of Nuidan's spring fields. To the north and east of the region, the degraded skeletons of old fences jut out in a dark, stunted scribble of old wood and weathered stone. It's clear that they're in need of some maintenance. But the real prize of this region is the large windmill that dominates the center of it. While the wood was once a striking red rimmed with white, the wind and rain has since worn it into a weatherbeaten rust-colored maroon. The whole thing creaks, as though it might be on the verge of tipping over and reducing itself to splintered matchsticks.
Much of E2 is taken up by that sprawling woodwork of a mill, but the fenced areas to the left, right, and north of it - those certainly look like they have something that could be worth milling. While there's not much that can easily be accessed on E2 itself, some of those crops are very plainly visible. There's a field of wheat to the east of the mill, and a crop of barley to the north. And stretched out between them, ragged remnants of what was once some very sturdy fencing spikes out in a dark contrast to the whisper of grass.

F2 | Ɏ GRAINS
Searched by Damianos and Edward Elric in November 2018. Much of F2 is taken up by that particular find, though there's certainly plenty other notable features, such as the fencing that breaks away from the field to crawl to the island's northeast.
F2 does contains Nuidan's field of wheat, just east of the old mill discovered on E2. While it is in admittedly poorer condition than is ideal - it's about as poorly maintained as everything else on Nuidan has gradually become - there is still plenty of harvest to be done. There are unsightly patches here and there: toppled bits of fencing and places where the weeds have choked out the crop, as well as noticeable gaps where passing herds have taken their time to feed on the fields to their heart's content.

B3 | ѱ PREY, Ɏ HERBS
Searched by Agent Connecticut and Gladiolus and Amicitia in October 2018. On B3, the rich scents of earth, grass, and manure mingle in the air with the iron tang of petrichor. And on these open plains, there's not much in the way of cover, either - though if one moves east, they'll run into a group of silos on D3 that might provide some shelter from the rain, or at least cut the sweeping of the wind.
To the south, B3 continues Nuidan's promise of a great many animals. The crooked line of fencing has done nothing to deter the herd of aptonoth that have begun plowing determinedly through the fields, grazing and feeding off the grass that sprouts in rich abundance all over these plains.
At the edges of the region, nestled among the tall grass are some soft white flowers, almost resembling daisies. Daisies are not nearly as useful as these, however! It's probable that their scent will give them away - aromatic, and slightly sweet - to anyone who might be familiar with tea-drinkers. B3 contains some sprouts of Matricaria chamomilla, better known as its common name of wild chamomile. Chamomile is commonly used in herbal infusions and teas, primarily for its anti-anxiety effects, though it's also been said to soothe upset stomachs and work as a mild sedative.

C3 | δ BERRIES
Searched by Héctor Rivera and Muffet in September 2018. C3 hosts a straggling line of failing fencework in dire need of repair, crooked in an awkward sprawl along the center of the region. The sky is heavy and dark with rainclouds, but the weather is still far from unpleasant, befitting the season of spring. The pasture-like fields ripple in a glorious expanse of greens and golds.
While C3 is obviously in a state of disrepair, the lack of maintenance has allowed a great deal of thorny bushes to spring up across the region. While this might initially seem like more of a irritating obstruction, the fat, dark fruits sprouting from the brambles are far from it. Blackberries might be seedy, but they're high in nutrients and invaluable for their versatility. Their softness makes them ideal for uses in baking pies and crumbles, as well as for jams, jellies, candies, liquors, and even teas. While it's probably a good idea to relocate a few of these bushes for growth on Ensō, one should be careful in doing so - blackberry bushes can spread very quickly, and are just as identifiable as weeds as they are a common food source.

D3 | ѱ PREY
Searched by Héctor Rivera and Muffet in September 2018. D3 contains a trio of silos that rear into the slate-gray sky. Closer inspection, however, will reveal that all three are empty. Their interiors contain nothing but flurries of dust and a faint whiff of the old grains that they must have once contained.
In addition to the silos, D3 also contains a wandering herd of aptonoth that could certainly do with some corralling into a more contained space. At the moment, they're simply wandering wild, and that won't do - not if you want to keep some of these fields intact!

E3 | ѱ PREY
Searched by Beauregard and the Knight in September 2018. The rain-drenched hills of the north are prime for keeping livestock, make no mistake. The skeletons of crumbled fences are visible even beneath the sea of thick-flowing grass. The rumble of clouds paint the sky a storm-swollen gray, through no rain sluices down just yet. The grass is waist-high, cast in varying shades of green and buff and gold. The wind ripples the fields in such a way that nearly makes the landscape seem like an ocean, as though the hills themselves are moving. The the northeast, the corner of some structure or another stands tall on the horizon - but it's not close enough to be distinct as to what, specifically, it might be.
Gradually, the grass thins and flattens, as though it's been tamped down over a long period of time. Eventually, a selection of nests will make it apparent as to why, all deftly woven together from strands of the meadowgrass. A flock of bludroc have settled in the area, as evidenced by the speckled eggs lumped in groups of threes and fours in each nest.

F3 | ◆ FRUIT
Searched by Héctor Rivera, Keith Kogane, and Papyrus in September 2018. The crumbling fencing that populates the square preceding this one continues on into F3. Not far from where the fence breaks away, closing into a corner, the verdant east of Nuidan merges into the rain-washed north. The trees segue into thick tufts of meadowgrass, and the brilliantly colored autumn leaves make way for the open fields of the region's northern reaches. From there, a pair of old silos is clearly visible, though both will prove to be rather empty.
The most noteworthy aspect of F3, however, is the continuation of the orchard that was uncovered on F4. Some of those trees have grown oddly, and even poorly - their careful rows have become stunted and weeds have flourished in the absence of anyone to keep them at bay. But the trees here are heavy with all manner of citrus fruit: lemons, oranges, tangerines, limes, and even the odd grapefruit. It doesn't matter if they shouldn't, logically, be growing under these weather conditions! The branches are heavy with all sorts of fruit regardless, ripe for the picking.

G3 | Ɏ VEGETABLES
Searched by Ren and Lup in November 2018. The upper corner of G3 bleeds into the northern spring slightly, but for the most part, the region is devoted to the verdant autumn. A U-shaped bite has been taken out of the easternmost part of the area, trees fading away into Nuidan's east coast. The lower parts of the region are less dense in terms of trees, largely due to the fact that one silo is nestled among them.
The lack of trees surrounding the silo has led to a dense tangle of vines, crawling out across the carpet of fallen leaves. A wide variety of oblong, rich orange squash have grown out of said vines; while they resemble pumpkins in color, their shape is much more oval-shaped, somewhat like giant peanuts - a crop of butternut squash.

B4 | δ BERRIES
Searched by Damianos, Dogmeat, Gladiolus Amicitia, Laurent, and Shion in September 2018. The loud hum of the bee houses to the north is impossible to miss, as there are quite a few in the area. As travelers cross from the sunny west to the rain-rinsed north, the weather takes a drastic shift along with them...at least as far as they can see. The dry summer heat fades immediately into cool spring air. There's an almost electric charge of a rainstorm, unshed, in the swollen clouds overhead. In B4, the slightly dilapidated remains of what used to be a sturdy fence built of wood and stone marks a dark, straggling line through the thick meadow grass. It crooks upward from the ocean waves lapping at the coast, bends up into C4, and swerves an uneven arc further north.
At the base of the decrepit fencing, a few stout shrubs have sprung up here and there. Spangled in pairs on their branches are dark spots of berries - too dark to be blueberries, but very close in appearance: it's a crop of bilberry bushes. Bilberries are softer and juicier than most other kinds of berries, which can make them difficult to transport, but can be easily frozen for easier transferral. Bilberries make for a very versatile food source. They can be eaten raw, or turned into jams, jellies, juices, and even liquors. While the fruits are small, they are sweet, and they are very similar to blueberries in both taste and nutritional value.

But as the seasons shift from summer to spring, the sun also darkens behind rain clouds that seem like they're on the very verge of blowing a thundering gale across the meadowy grass. At the southeastern corner of the region, a spot of bright sand practically glows against the contrast of the rich greens and browns of Nuidan's perpetual spring - the evidence of the avatar's temple situated on its little patch of oasis-like desert.
The shrub-like greens peppering the thick clumps of meadowgrass bear some conical, distinctive red fruits that should be readily identifiable as wild strawberries. While they're not as large as their commercially grown equivalents, they are nonetheless very ripe, and also easily dug up to be relocated elsewhere, if one feels like cultivating some of their own. Strawberries are some of the most versatile fruits imaginable, boasting a wide variety of uses. From preserves to jams, whether frozen or dried, the sweet, slightly tart taste of a strawberry is as distinctive as it is nutritious.

E4 | Ɏ GRAINS
Searched by Ann Takamaki, Hunk, Keith Kogane, Lance, Mira, and Pidge Gunderson in September 2018. E4 lips the top of the temple, and the transition from one landscape to the next is as abrupt as it is breathtaking in its scope; the sand melts cleanly into rich meadow-grass, and overhead, the sky is thick with swollen rainclouds. This is the region for spring, and everything from the temperature to the texture radiates it. The air tingles with the scent of petrichor, earth, pollen, and manure. To the east, a thin slice of green woodland swings alluringly away to denote the part of the island that represents the season of autumn. The occasional fencepost juts out from the dirt, evidence that things have become a little more worse for wear.
A not-insignificant portion of this region seems to have once been kept in a fence of some sort of another, though those structures have long since fallen away. But the travelers can tell that this region was originally for cultivating something if they take a moment to identify the stalks of green that comprise the vast majority of its vegetation. This was likely once a crop of oats, and though they now grow wildly and without any of the careful structure that would suit an ordinary farm, they're still both harvestable and plantable.

F4 | ◆ FRUIT
Searched by Anthy Himemiya in September 2018. The sun peers through the thick canopy of trees in the autumnal regions of Nuidan. The trees vary wildly in size, shape, and kind - from towering oaks to cherry saplings, deciduous trees who have succumbed to the violently colorful changes that fall always induces flourishing side-by-side with stately evergreens. The ground underfoot is crisp and crackling with fallen leaves. The effect might be bizarre, but it is overall not unpleasant - even picturesque.
While the neat rows of trees have grown unruly over time, some of them choked with weeds or strangled with ivy, F4 undeniably hosts an orchard. All manner of citrus fruits have been cultivated in this one, regardless of what sort of weather they might flourish in under ordinary circumstances: lemons, oranges, tangerines, limes, and even the odd grapefruit.
Nearly every branch is bristling with ripe fruit, ready for harvest. And at the edge of the square...why, it looks like there might be another orchard of some sort, further east, though it's impossible to tell, from here, what kind of fruit it might boast.

G4 | ◆ FRUIT
Searched by Foster van Denend in September 2018. The weather is perfect, considering the season this section of the map is modeled after. Brisk air, falling leaves, the smell of fresh soil - it's exactly what one would expect from the autumn season, and G4 does not disappoint. The parts of the region not overtaken by the sprawling rows of neatly lined trees are dense with wild-growing specimens of all sorts of different kinds. Much like on Umui, this island does not seem to care about what sorts of weather types or seasons are ideal in allowing certain types of vegetation to flourish. On Nuidan, towering oaks can grow alongside yews, ash beside cedar, larch alongside pine. The effect, combined with the flurrying colors of the evergreen canopies mingling with the flushed oranges and reds of those more affected by the perpetual fall, is incredibly striking.
The orchard takes up most of G4's surface area, however. While F4's region hosted a wide variety of citrus fruits, G4's is varied in other ways. The organization of the trees here was likely once very neat and deliberate, but time and overgrowth has stunted the orchard's intended careful rows. A few trees here and there have withered from lack of care, and some have simply become overtaken with parasitic vines. The fences are in a horrible state, leaving many of the fruits wide open for birds and scavengers to have their way, though plenty of the trees still bear fruit. Like the rest of the eastern section of Nuidan, the orchard disregards seasonal growth utterly for the sake of sheer volume. G4's orchard contains a plethora of apples, pomegranates, cherries, apricots, plums, peaches, figs, and pears.

Searched by Damianos, Dogmeat, Gladiolus Amicitia, Laurent, and Shion in September 2018. Searched by Damianos, Dogmeat, Gladiolus Amicitia, Laurent, and Shion in September 2018. To the north, the drone-buzz of busy bees hums a contented backdrop to the bright summer air, for it is always summer in this part of Nuidan. The ground periodically shifts between soft sand and crackling stalks of dried grass, the air thick and dry and hot. C5 is a sunny expanse of sand and brown grass hills, and here and there, a speckling of heaped boulders. Sharp-eyed travelers will spot a flash of a scaly tail or two disappearing behind the mounds of gray in a streak of motion, or perhaps a spray of orange feathers fluttering to the ground.
Travelers should keep a close eye on their belongings from here on out, lest they find their possessions deftly picked through by searching claws of the peculiar sort of grubber whose kind have set up shop in this region. Groups of kulu-ya-ku flit throughout this legion; despite their irritating tendency to steal anything that isn't nailed down, kulu-ya-ku are still useful sources of meat, as well as feathers and their very hardy scales.

Searched by Guzma and Lillie in September 2018. The shift in weather is instantaneous; from the moment one sets foot onto the western part of the island, the air goes from sharp to balmy, the sand from desert-yellow to softer shades of buff-and-gray more reminiscent of what might be seen on a beach. While there are no ocean waves rushing a soft chorus in the distance, there is a distant drone of something that sounds like bees. To the region's northernmost corner, the boxy shapes of what might be bee houses speckle the horizon. Most of the square is dominated by a pair of silos that rise from the earth, though both are quite empty.
At the base of each silo, several misshapen, lumpy blobs can be seen scuttling happily about. A colony of f'rshaymes frequents this area, and they've been having...quite a ball with a great deal of animal dung. Whatever beasts left those droplets must be rather on the larger side, to have allowed the f'rshaymes to get as large as they have, but that's just fine. That simply means there's ample clay to harvest, between the pair of them!

Searched by Fang Ray Shin and the Knight in September 2018. To the south, the winter frost is visible - but from where any travelers stand, it doesn't bother them in the least. The air here is only slightly nippy, that perfect autumnal chill cut with the streaming rays of sun dappling the leaf litter underfoot. The trees here vary widely in species and scope - from saplings to spruces, towering redwoods to peach trees, the gang's well and truly all here. While there are plenty of evergreens in the region, the leaves of the deciduous trees are lit up in a fiery rash of orange-red-yellows, befitting the fall season, and carpeting the ground beneath. The most notable landmark in this region is the disused silo surrounded by thick-growing trees. If explorers check inside, they'll find it quite empty of anything but dust, but it's clear that it was once used for something.
Smack in the center of the region, the thick mantle of leaves carpeting the floor dips into a peaty half-bog. The entire place is rich with the smell of manure and mushrooms - delicious! The source of this mess can be traced down to the shifting, snorting shapes camped out in the mossy mud. While mosswine are not liable to bother you - unless you bother them first - their initial appearance can be startling to the unwary.

G5 | ◆ FRUIT
Searched by Ann Takamaki, Anthy Himemiya, Goro Akechi, and Pidge Gunderson in September 2018. Not as hot as the west or as harrowing as the south, the east is populated by a wide variety of trees that disregard utterly the standard progression of nature, and everything else besides. Which is to say, trees of essentially any kind can be found here, no matter how peculiarly out of place they might seem. Is that an olive tree, bearing fruit when it should be flowering? Don't worry about it!
The colors overhead are as clashing as they are vibrant: evergreen oaks growing alongside deciduous maples means that the canopies of Nuidan are simultaneously a rich green and a fiery autumn red; the leaves that crunch underfoot are browned and dead, mulched into a soft litter over what must be years of endless leaf-fall.
The lower part of G4's orchard region peeks into G5, and so travelers will have ready access to those fruits as well, if they wish. The fences on G5 are just as run down and ramshackle, and as a result, the parts of the orchard visible on G5 are just as morosely overgrown in some parts, and completely dried into a dead black in others.
But what trees are still healthy and bearing fruit are revealed to be a variety of nut trees and related species - walnuts, almonds, cashews, olives, pecans, chestnuts, and countless more. They bear the same callous disregard to what should be regionally possible as the rest of Nuidan: every branch is heavy with ripe fruit, some branches straining beneath the sheer weight.

H5 | ◆ FRUIT
Searched by Edward Elric in September 2018. H5 is just as gloriously scattershot in terms of tree specimens as the rest of Nuidan's east. The trees are a vibrant mix of evergreens and deciduous sprouts, coloring the canopies in both rich green and autumn red. The presence of the orchard uncovered on G4 and G5 is by far the most profound landmark in this region, but it is by no means the only one. The silo present on H5 is as empty as all the others that travelers have uncovered thus far, nearly hidden in the swell of so many trees that have grown wild and unchecked for who knows how long.
As is the case for the other orchards travelers have discovered, this one isn't exactly in the best possible state. The fences have crumbled, the careful lines separating the trees have become overgrown and choked with weeds, and whatever order must have once existed has degraded. Some unlucky trees have been picked clean by scavengers already, though there's still plenty to be harvested.

A6 | Ɏ HERBS
Searched by Commander Shepard, the Drifter, Keith Kogane, the Knight, Kravitz, and Rei Ayanami in October 2018. Running across the western coastline, A6 and A7 are mostly empty of any fields or buildings, gentle slopes leading down to the edges of the water. Wild flowers attract the attention of the beehives, though this far from their homes, only several dot the landscape, with a few feral hives occupying the trees. Altogether, it's a pleasant journey - one that should prove quite rewarding.
Amongst the dried grass of A6 are certainly things of an edible nature, though they may take some time to be identified as such. Fireweed is also known as willowherb, an edible plant from roots to decorative, purple flowers that is bland, but quite filling. In addition, chicory and wood sorrel can also be gathered from this square, though it should be noted that only the leaves and flowers of these plants are edible raw, with the roots requiring cooking in order to avoid a rather difficult time digesting.

Searched by Chip Abaroa, Guzma, Kaworu Nagisa, the Knight, and Lillie in September 2018. Much of B6 is dominated by some fields of a tall, pale grass - obviously and intentionally kept sectioned off in its own boxy patch for the intent of growing and eventual harvest. Despite the salty air from the coast, these plants have been flourishing. They have, in fact, been flourishing a little too well; the area is badly overgrown and in dire need of some harvest and general maintenance.
Much of B6 is dominated by the fields of sugarcane initially uncovered on B5. The ocean waves lap up against the ridge of Nuidan's western shore, but just before the ground drops away into the coast, a thick patch of pale, whispering grass sprouts in an unruly rectangular patch that was probably once neatly maintained and carefully kept. Despite the fact that it's been some time since they've gotten any hands-on maintenance, it's clear that they're more than ready to be harvested by somebody. This particular crop has a multitude of uses, the most well-known being in its name. It can be milled or boiled into sugar, used to produce paper, create molasses, and much, much more.

Searched by Rei Ayanami in September 2018. The western part of Nuidan wavers between sandy bluffs and crackling blades of golden-colored grass. The sun overhead is unobstructed and searingly bright; whether one finds that relentless heat to be pleasant or unforgiving is rather up to personal taste. The warmth of the perpetual summer is a sunny drape over the sprawling, eye-catching landmark that swallows a good half of C6: the cotton field that was initially uncovered on D6. The seeds have burst open, the air thick with motes of the rich white fluff. It's obviously ready for some harvesting, and what's more is that the field carries on to the next region over.
A few dark shapes flit overhead on leathery wings, riding the wind in search of something to scavenge. You, traveler, might want to try and hold onto whatever you're carrying with you. These creatures may not have seen a person before, but that hasn't tempered their boldness, and noios can be frightful beasts when it comes to scavenging and thieving. Despite its irritating capacity as scavengers, the noios can be brought down for its edible meat and leathery hide. Most useful of all is the "screaming sac" the noios uses to generate its signature cries, which can be repurposed into tools for noisemaking and the like.

D6 | ҂ COTTON
Searched by Muffet in September 2018. To the east, the pleasantly warm air of the summer region can be seen melting into the frigidity of the south. The contrast really is quite remarkable; the arctic wind whips along the corner of D6, while the beach-like sand of the rest of the region remains wholly undisturbed. The sun is bright and welcoming overhead, as if the weather itself responds to the demand of each corner of the island. The sand periodically shifts into stalks of crackling grass more reminiscent of what might be found on a farmland, and then back again, with seemingly no rhyme or reason to it. Whether the landscape is one of the beach or one of a farm, one thing is clear: it feels very summer, through and through.
A cotton field - one of what appears to be at least two, no less! - sprawls over the majority of D6. Thick tufts of snowy white seed have burst open, ripe and ready for harvest. A seamstress like her can probably think of a thousand things to do with even this raw, unprocessed boon. The corners of another field lip the edge of the region, as well, though how much more of it there is is difficult to guess.

E6 | δ BERRIES
Searched by Legion in September 2018. E6 is an exercise in the different ways the environment can be cold. The switch from oasis to snowplain is dramatic and immediate as one crosses from the central temple region to the southern quadrant of the island. The temperature plummets, and one will have to forge ahead through waist-high droves of snow. Snowflakes flurry overhead, and the sky that was so blue and welcoming in the center of Nuidan has now assumed a wintery slate-gray. The defining characteristic of the region, by far, is the thick cluster of snowy trees. Thick-packed conifers frosted with ice pepper the region, particularly in its southernmost parts. The forest, apart from likely being a welcome break from what initially looked to be a featureless tundra, makes for a very ideal hunting and trapping ground.
Despite the bitter cold, there's plenty still growing here. Amidst the conifers are sprigs of green, shrubs that crop up among the snow and leaves in periodic bursts. These are, in fact, bushes of wintergreen. With its distinctive, minty scent and bright red berries, wintergreen is useful both in terms of edibility and medicinal properties. Wintergreen berries are sharp and slightly sweet in taste, and the leaves can be used to flavor teas and dishes much in the same way true mint can. Wintergreen can also be fermented into an oil that has a variety of medicinal uses, such as a means of easing arthritis, bruised bones, and heart pains. These bushes frequent the region in rich abundance, the berries bright as blood against a landscape of grays, blacks, and whites.

Searched by the Knight and Troupe Master Grimm in September 2018. The shift in the weather is instantaneous; the moment one sets foot in the southern region of Nuidan, the air becomes crisp and wintery, and the wind a thousand times more blustery besides. The wind-chill gusts flurries of frost and snow underfoot. Restrained as this ice-cold weather is to this part of the island, it is still bitterly frigid, and likely quite difficult to brave as a result. The snow is piled high, crunching softly with each step. But the further south the pair ventures, they'll stumble across a thin line of faded green drenched in white: some snow-capped woodlands, coniferous trees that jut upwards in dark stakes against the uniform white. The ice-dripped forest is an ideal place for hunting and trapping animals.
Passing through the snow-covered woodland, a herd of shaggy, shambling popo with hulking tusks plod resolutely along. Their thick fur renders them all but invincible to the crackling cold, and they pay hardly any mind to the travelers in their vicinity. Plainly, they're only going to bother to do something about you if they decide to class you as a threat.

G6 | ◆ FRUIT
Searched by Foster van Denend and Ginko in September 2018. G6 cuts a peculiar figure: smack between the island's eastern and southern regions, it rests at the exact point where the autumn woodlands turn to drifts of snow. The shift is as dramatic as it is nonsensical: the weather on the other side of that divide is plainly gusting and frigid, and yet on the eastern side of things? The sun dapples the leaves underfoot in spots of warm puddled gold. If one doesn't pay attention to what's going on in the southern part of the region, it's almost peaceful.
The specimens of trees in this region are bizarrely scattershot. There seems to be little regard for what sort of region or temperature would ordinarily be required to sustain these sorts of flowering and fruiting trees; all are growing well, albeit in a rather wild and uncoordinated way. Whatever order was set in place initially has since degraded.
Clustered at irregular points, a few wild fruit trees have sprung up among the scattered variety of cedars and maples and pines. At some point, some scavenger or bird or beast must have dropped a few pits somewhere in the area, because a crop of wild cherry saplings pepper the region. All are fruiting, despite the fact that they should logically probably be blossoming. Many have grown very firmly into the landscape, but a few saplings have rooted loosely enough into the earth that they can be dug up, albeit carefully, by the thready roots and relocated elsewhere.

Searched by Asgore Dreemurr in September 2018. Aside from the inherent strangeness of the eastern forest region of Nuidan - and the fact that the trees growing here are all locked in a permanent state of leaf-shedding to befit the season of autumn, no matter how bizarre that might seem - the area is, on the whole, rather peaceful. The sun occasionally peers through the canopies of both trees and the foggy, autumn clouds. Strange, how the air here manages to feel brisk and clear, reminiscent of the chill of autumn prefacing the winter.
A herd of placid prey animals known as moofah can be found in this region, and are quite content to remain where there is plenty of grass and vegetation for them to graze. Unless someone sees fit to relocate them, that is.

I6 | δ BERRIES
Searched by Foster van Denend and Kravitz in September 2018. I6 reaches the very edge of Nuidan, ocean waters lapping up against the woodland fringe at the easternmost part of the region. For the most part, the area is as thick with trees as the rest of the eastern quadrant, clustered in thick copses throughout the land. The mat of dead leaves underfoot rustles with each step, and the canopies overhead are rich in both green and the more vibrant orange-red characteristic of the season of autumn.
To the north, a particular landmark will probably draw the eye. A rice paddy extends into the the regions above it; only a fraction of it is accessible here, but it's obvious that there's more to that particular food source than the single splotch available on I6.
Peppered periodically throughout I6 are bushes speckled with wine-red fruits, probably recognizable to almost anyone as raspberries. Raspberries are generally quite hardy fruits, and are known to fruit in different seasons. This particular variant, unsurprisingly, has grown to fruit in the perpetual season of fall. They are also highly adept at spreading quickly, which is perhaps why I6 is so richly populated; one hardly has to be looking very hard to find them! Tasty, nutritious, and versatile, raspberries can be used in juices, purées, pies, jams, jellies, or simply eaten on their own, either raw or frozen. Raspberry leaves have been used in teas and herbal remedies as well, but the fruits are by far the more useful find here.

Clumped by the silos are some thick growths of underbrush that have managed to spring up over time, sprinkled liberally with berries varying in color and size. Some are corn-yellow, while others are a deep red more akin to raspberries. While they certainly appear to be raspberries, these are, in fact, a variant of rubus spectabilis - more commonly known as salmonberries. And they reside on the region of B7 in delightful abundance. Salmonberries can, of course, be eaten raw, but they can also be used in cooking and processing into a wide abundance of products such as jams, jellies, candies, and wines. Salmonberries thrive in open spaces and coastal forests, which explains why so many of them have managed to crop up in the relatively open, plain-like expanses of Nuidan's summer region, not far from its coast. Despite lacking the thorny brambles of blackberries, it's been said that salmonberries taste a little like a mix between blackberries and their redder, raspberry cousins. The versatility of their use makes them a delightful find indeed!

Searched by Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Scientia, and Prompto Argentum in September 2018. As a region divided in two, D7 makes for a curious sight: to the west, the unrelenting heat of summer smolders tirelessly overhead, the sun glaring down on the dried stalks of dead grass and the softness of beach-like sand. To the region's east, however, the transition from summer to winter is both stark and abrupt. It is as though a line has been cut cleanly between the two. The part of D7 that overlaps into the southern part of Nuidan is howling with ice-cold wind, thick with crunching snow, and is all in all the unmistakable opposite to the summer-tinted warmth of its west. The most notable part of D7, naturally, would be the cotton field visible at its upper left corner. Not much of the field is visible, but it's clear from what you can perceive on D7 that the fences are in dire need of some repair, in addition to the fact that the field itself is ripe for the harvest.
D7's western portion is frequented by those reptilian scavengers known as kulu-ya-ku, but what's more is the presence of something useful in D7's wintery half. A small crop of greenish sprouts was discovered poking out from the snowy drifts. Kept safely insulated beneath layers of slush and dirt, a variation of wild roots and edible vegetables have managed to flourish despite the cold. Here, a collection of carrots, scallions, and rutabaga roots can be dug up and grown somewhere less liable to kill the poor things.

Searched by Amaterasu, Dogmeat, and Newton Geiszler in September 2018. E7 is where the thick, snowy woodland begins to taper off into the flatter, more tundra-like flow of landscape. Nonetheless, there are still trees in abundance in certain parts of the region, and those ice-capped trees make a very useful spot for the trapping and hunting of any wild animals one might encounter. The sky is slate-gray; any hopes for a weak winter sun have been blotted out by the clouds as thick and flurrying as the snowdrifts carpeting the area. To the southeast, another splotch of forest is visible, leading into the neighboring region of G7. The stretch between them hosts little more than frigid air and an unforgiving wind-chill.
Groups of anteka roam the area of groups of twos and threes. Their thick fur and large horns are as distinctive as they are intimidating; given the size and sheer power behind these beasts, it's not wise to attempt taking even one of them down unless you're well-outfitted for the task.

The icy chill of Nuidan's south doesn't permeate every inch of this region, as the upper northeast corner segues smoothly into the island's eastern woodland region. You can even see the colorful tops of the trees, bright flags of orange and gold and red, peering through the curtain of wintery wind. Most of the region is suffused with the same chill as the rest of the island's southern quadrant. But as travelers venture further south, they'll find something of interest - an old hut of some kind, with coils of smoke rising from its chimney. It's a tiny smokehouse, perfect for curing and smoking meats, and what's more is that there's even a supply of wood inside to start up a fire for exactly that. Despite the well-worn look to the wood and stone comprising the hut, it's certainly functioning just fine.
Besides the hut's perch square in the middle of the region, there are also a few notable spots in H7 where the snow has been blown away to expose a thick mantle of ice, with holes gouged through to access the frigid waters beneath. Whoever dug out these pockets and pits in the ice - and your culprit is probably exactly who you think it is, given the slabs of ice the avatar's temple uses to keep their meats and produce chilled in storage - did so in such a way that allows for fishing.
H7 hosts two such pockets, ideal spots to catch fish more likely to be found in arctic regions of the world. Patient fishers will find that they can catch plenty of specimens: bass, crappie, catfish, muskie, perch, pike, herring, halibut, albacore, or even squid.

I7 | δ BERRIES
Searched by Agent Connecticut and Pyrrha Nikos in September 2018. I7 is a region divided; a diagonal divide snakes through it at an angle, bisecting it into the verdant east and the frigid south. The immediacy of the shift between the two quadrants might be a little jarring, at least at first. The peaceful if brisk fall air of the east remains entirely untouched by the whistling, wintery winds of the south, those that storm relentlessly without so much as stirring the tops of the autumn trees. The coast, however, seems largely unaffected by these dramatic shifts in the weather. The water is perfectly safe and even temperate, lapping at the roots of the trees rooted in I7's eastern half and the snowy banks of I7's southern half alike.
The real prize of I7 lies in the eastern half, unsurprisingly. Staggered throughout the region are bushes laden with clusters of dark berries. With the bush's corky bark and five-pronged leaves, the berries are identifiable as a variant of Sambucus - though most people know them by their more colloquial title. That is, elderberries. With their high nutritional value and versatility, elderberries can be an invaluable food source. Not only can the berries be used in pies, jellies, dyes, wines, and jams, but the flowers can be converted into syrups, cordials, and teas. The hollow nature of the elderberry's branches also makes it ideal for crafting spiles to tap other trees for their syrups and saps. Elderberries are thought to have mild medicinal properties, used to treat flu symptoms and pain from traumatic injury. However, the berries, roots, leaves, and twigs - essentially any part of the plant, really - should never be eaten raw, as the uncooked berries can be toxic.

C8 | Ɏ VEGETABLES
Searched by the Knight in October 2018. C8 rests within the summer quadrant, with gentle, grassy slopes leading down to the sea. The coast doesn't lend the air that much of a chill: the sun cuts the crisp, littoral air quite nicely, allowing for a not unpleasant equilibrium in terms of climate. The land isn't terribly appropriate for papyrus plants, largely because there's something that's already square in the middle of it: a tall building of greenish glass, dusty and wind-battered around the edges, but unmistakable in its shape. It's a greenhouse - two of them, in fact. And, extending into B8, it's possible that there might be more along the island's southern coast.
Once one enters either greenhouse, it becomes clear that this place hasn't been very well-maintained, left neglected for quite some time. There's a buildup of weeds, the soil has crumbled in dried in various unsightly splotches, and what greens remain are overtaken with slugs, snails, and other hungry pests. Without any working cooling and watering system left, the interior has baked a great deal of what were once edible crops into brown-dried crisps.
There is one crop, however, that has managed to flourish in these subpar conditions: zucchini. Several dozen rather girthy, greenish squash growths are thriving in spite of the heat. Or maybe because of it; zucchini is, after all, a robust summer crop. Zucchini are extraordinarily versatile in culinary use, with both edible skin and flesh. They can be eaten raw, cooked, baked, stuffed, breaded, and infinitely other uses. Given how long these specimens have been here, unbothered save for the odd pest or two, some of them are quite large.

D8 | δ BERRIES
Searched by Kaworu Nagisa and Legion in October 2018. D8 ridges the westernmost region of Nuidan, contrasting the wintery tundra with a glistening slice of sun-warmed summer. For the most part, however, the cool weather is uniform and unbroken. The ground occasionally tilts upward in vaguely mountain-like textures, only to tilt determinedly back to sea level by the time one heads south.
The most notable landmarks are the spots where chunks of ice have been pried clean from the floor, exposing dark holes of icy seawater. This would be one of the areas Harv used to obtain ice for storage of meats and perishable goods back at their temple, and as a result, they've created a very ideal spot for ice fishing, as long as you don't mind that they're fish more likely to be found in arctic regions of the world. Patient fishers will find that they can catch plenty of specimens: bass, crappie, catfish, muskie, perch, pike, herring, halibut, albacore, or even squid.
Roses are beautiful flowers that certainly don't grow in the winter. They do, however, fruit, and during the winter those fruits are oftentimes preserved in the ice and snow. D8 contains a fair smattering of ice-encrusted rose hips - berries that are distinct, edible, and can be converted into all sorts of things. Rose hips make for an excellent addition to teas, jellies, jams, syrups, soups, oils, pies, breads, marmalades, and wines...and basically anything you can think of, really. They're high in nutritional value, too, rich as they are in vitamin C. They may also have some mild medicinal properties in treating joint pains, but we'd not put too much stock in that.

E8 | ѱ PREY
Searched by Agent Connecticut and Pyrrha Nikos in September 2018. The weather in Nuidan remains resolutely terrible, semi-regularly swinging between wintery, crystalline stillness and infrequent gusts of snowy wind. There are no trees here to cut the sharpness of the cold when it tears over the icy landscape. There is, however, the presence of two huts in the region's rough center. Inspection of both will reveal that both are constructed for the purpose of storing, smoking, and curing meats and jerkies, and are supplied very liberally with heaps of firewood for particularly that task. Though if a blizzard were to break out - not an unusual occurrence in these parts of Nuidan, as it happens - they could also provide some sufficient cover and warmth.
While the pair of huts cut a relatively solitary scene, E8 is far from bereft, despite the bitter cold. A small group of anteka frequent the area, and have been getting along just fine without any company at all.

F8 | ѱ PREY
Searched by Ardyn Izunia and Gladiolus Amicitia in December 2018. The wind-blown snow banks of F8 are unobstructed by the dense, evergreen woodland in the more central parts of Nuidan's southern regions, which can make for some difficult progress in forging ahead. There is a single hut situated on the F8 area, one of those innumerable shacks for the curing and smoking of meats. If one requires shelter in a pinch, it can suffice! You'll find it plenty stocked with wood to stoke a fire, if need be.
A herd of anteka have frequented this area and will likely continue to do so, until something spooks them out of the region. Or hunts them into extinction.

D9 | Ɏ HERBS
Searched by Kaworu Nagisa and Legion in October 2018. A few scrubby trees have managed to hide throughout much of D9, mostly blanketed by carpets of snow, but their conifer-like exterior will be a fair indication as to how they've lasted this long. Those pockets of frosted green can be uncovered with a little effort, speckled with clusters of deep purple, berry-like growths alongside their younger, lime green cousins who've yet to mature into something that should be harvested. Juniper berries are not actually berries at all, but rather a very fleshy variant of cone. Nonetheless, they can make for some very useful winter foraging. They might be the only sort of cone that's used as a spice, in fact. Juniper berries make for a sharp, distinctive flavoring in dishes, oils, and teas...though they're most popularly and recognizably used to flavor gin.
The are, additionally, plenty of spots for ice fishing in D9, as long as you don't mind that they're fish more likely to be found in arctic regions of the world. Patient fishers will find that they can catch plenty of specimens: bass, crappie, catfish, muskie, perch, pike, herring, halibut, albacore, or even squid.
