Additionally, please note that applications received on Saturdays may take up to 24 hours to receive a response, particularly if an app is received last minute. Applications received after 12pm est on Saturdays will not be processed until the following weekend.
Prior to starting your application, please check the Taken Page to ensure they are not already in play. Please ensure that you have Reserved the character you wish to apply for; keep in mind that we do not accept application challenges!
There are a total of four application templates which can be used to apply to LifeAftr:
Canon Universe: your standard application. For a character with a solid canon background who is not being brought in from another game, this is the application for you.
Lesser Background: for characters who may not have much canon background to go off of, such as a silent protagonist or NPC. For further clarification on what constitutes for the lesser background app, check our FAQ.
Original Character: for all your OC needs!
CRAU: if importing from another game, please use the CRAU app. This applies whether the character is canon, lesser, or OC. This is also the template to use if you are re-applying your character with their previous LifeAftr memories.
Note: If importing an OC or Lesser Background character, refer to the respective application form to see the judging standards for each field.

We ask that you put your character name, canon, application type, and whether or not you have reserved your character in the subject header. For readability purposes, we also ask that you link to your application on your journal instead of pasting it into the comment itself.
Only submit your application once you are sure it is complete; as apps are processed throughout the duration of the round, we have no way of tracking if any edits are made after the fact. Likewise, we will only be issuing TDM rewards to those who have proofs at the initial time of submission. Would you rather hurt someone physically to spare them emotional pain, or hurt them emotionally to spare them physical pain? This is a terrible question! Hypothetical or not, there are things you cannot heal--only live with. I might amputate someone's arm to save a life, but I would still be sorry to have done it. Physical pains leave emotional wounds as well. And emotional wounds, even small ones, take time and care to heal, if they can be healed at all.
How do you think you measure up compared to your peers? My... peers? I... don't think I have any.

Is it difficult for you to get along with people? Why or why not? I 'get along' just fine. At least face-to-face. Even when I make myself unpopular, I'm inoffensive enough that I don't tend to motivate retribution. [He sounds...faintly bitter? But it's followed by a faint smile.] I know because I'm good at making myself unpopular. Not by choice, of course. I try not to regret what I've done... my programming is gracious in that regard.

What’s your favorite kind of weather, and why? I'm... a plant. And I've always needed the sun, even as a robot. So I'm inevitably partial to clear skies and bright sunlight.
