LOCATIONS: CHOL

LOCATIONS: CHOL
The third island accessible by adventurers, Chol is on the smaller part of the scale. Most notable is the race of sea-dwelling creatures known as the Jormun who took up a temporary residence on the craggy outskirts and fertile center in preparation for the death and rebirth of LifeAftr's sun in January 2018.

Temperatures on the island, unless otherwise specified within search requests, match those experienced on Ensō. This island is currently inaccessible.

The resources and dangers found upon the island thus far are as follows; links to each individual square can be used to quickly navigate to places of interest.

Searched Areas
A1 | ₪ MANA POOL, ҂ SEEDS

Searched by Amaterasu in January 2018. The mana pool is the first obvious resource on the region of A1, and its energies will be just as potent here as they are anywhere else on LifeAftr. The rocky regions of A1 are not the ideal vacation spot, to be certain, windswept and relatively bare as they all are, but pockets of ungrown glasswort seeds were salvaged from the rocks.
Dangers: N/A
Resources: Mana pool, glasswort seeds
B1 | 〰 QUICKSAND

Searched by the Tim Wright, Chara Dreemurr, Wade Wilson, Tataru Taru, and Ginko in December 2017. Starting into the northern regions of Chol, craggy terrain twists and turns up a gradual slope of mountainside. The only way forward presents itself in the form of a deep ravine that has cut itself through the mountain's face, dark and damp and hidden from the sun's touch. Downward this ravine winds, seemingly forever, until it opens in an abrupt sleet of sunlight into a large, bowl-shaped valley pressed between the mountains, muddy-brown and devoid of life. As it turns out, this valley is not so much a valley as it is a lake long dried up by mysterious means, which has left long pockets of sandy quagmire along the bottom in its wake.
Dangers: Quicksand
Resources: N/A
A2 | ѱ PREY ANIMALS

Searched by Connor Murphy in January 2018. The shoreline hosts several hundred Sticky Clams. More barnacle in appearance than their name suggests, they can nonetheless be pried open to partake in sweet, refreshing flesh.
Dangers: N/A
Resources: Sticky Clams
A3 | ⋈ OLD TOOLS

Searched by Connor Murphy in January 2018. Close to where others have found barrels washed up upon the shore, it's probably not surprising to find a wreckage of a ship, sitting abandoned on the coral reef it was destroyed upon. Connor claimed two tarps, a hammer, and a multi-tool in his exploration.
Dangers: N/A
Resources: Old tools
A4 | ◆ FRUIT

Searched by Akira Kurusu and Goro Akechi in December 2017. The coastal terrain is craggy and clifflike, making it a somewhat frustrating tread. Nestled among the rocky landscapes of A4 are several small, bushlike plants with smooth red bark, laden with dark red fruits. Manzanita berries can be eaten both fresh and dried, as well as stored indefinitely, and their branches can be soaked to produce cider. The leaves also contain some mild medicinal properties for the purposes of disinfectant, and can even be used as a substitute for toothbrushes.
Dangers: N/A
Resources: Manzanita berries
A5 | Ɏ VEGETABLES

Searched by Akira Kurusu and Yuka Ichijou in December 2017. One of the southernmost areas of Chol, the cliffsides almost seem barren in comparison to some of the more fruitful areas of the island. But what A5 lacks on land, it more than makes up in the shores surrounding it. In the shallow waters, plentiful varieties of seaweed and kelp can be found, such as Kombu, Wakambe, Dulse, and Nori, as well as a sweet patch of Irish Moss.
Dangers: N/A
Resources: Edible seaweed
B5 | ☉ CONTAMINATED WATER

B5, though rather close to the Jormun encampment, is suspiciously empty of tents and Jormun activity due to the smell. An almost unbearable stench of rotten eggs permeates the area - breathing through your mouth will offer little to no reprieve, as the only thing worse than smelling it is tasting then stench. Stubborn adventurers may stumble across the source of the problem: deep-set pools of water that contain the foul odor and are ringed by odd patches of yellow sediment at the edges. Sulfur is not inherently dangerous to consume in small doses...but it's not recommended.
Dangers: Contaminated water
